Treating Muscle Pain

After you've assessed the severity of the injury and have determined that medical advice is not required, you can treat your common muscle injuries at home.

Take the proper steps to relieve your pain. For strains and sprains, the most commonly recommended guidelines are to rest the injured area, apply ice immediately, elevate the damaged part to a level higher than the heart, and apply a Lakota Topical Pain Reliever to reduce pain immediately.
